PRACTICE
THURSDAY NIGHT is Practice Night at the Mount Pleasant Social Club, Bradford-on Avon, Wiltshire.
We meet at 7.45p.m. over a loosening pint, start in earnest at 8.00p.m., and continue with vigour and application through till the restorative raise of the tankard at 9.30 and beyond.
But we have to be right up front with this… Some of us are not quite as young and spry as we used to be, although even after 30 years or so, almost none of us will admit it. Self-delusional or not, it’s probably true to say that we can sustain intense physical activity longer than lots of our non-dancing peers… And we certainly hope to maintain that prowess as the years draw on…
Nevertheless, we could do with some help.
Given that we would like our happy fellowship to continue well beyond our recent 30th Anniversary, we could do with some new, perhaps younger blood… And new, perhaps younger personnel too…
So if, as you peruse this web site, you feel the stirring of the latent Morris dancer which lurks within every one of us, you might think about joining us on a Thursday evening at The Mount Pleasant Club in Bradford-on-Avon… You will be warmly welcomed.
