EVENTS FOR 2024

AN EASTER FAMILY EGGSTRAVAGANZA, THE HALL, BRADFORD-ON-AVON

-

As our first outing of The (so-called) Spring, (let’s hope) we shall be performing our very particular brand of entertainment at various times during these two days of holiday celebration at this extraordinarily beautiful venue. See “The Hall” website for further details of this community extravaganza.

We hope to see you as we limber up for the ensuing season!!

THE HUNTSMAN, BATH

This Thursday sees us at “Bog Island” in Bath, outside “The Huntsman”, for our annual dance-out with Somerset Morris and Bells Angels. We are assured that an evening of Spring weather is a cert! So come with us and our friends to enjoy the outdoors we all deserve.

And the I. P. A. at the pub is a must!

This Saturday will see us, along with over 50 other sides, performing throughout the day at this wonderful, developing community event in our neighbouring, rather beautiful local town. Organised by our very own squire extraordinaire Alfie Windsor and his helpers, it is bound to be a marvellous celebration of Spring as, finally, the weather seems to recognising that the season is with us.

For more details go to the Bradford on Avon Green Man Festival website.

So… go on, spoil yourselves. Come and have a great day with us.

This Saturday, all day, sees the side stepping out confidently in various locations (see Wimborne Folk Festival programme on the website) throughout the town on our thirty-umpteenth year of unbroken attendance.

One of the enduring highlights of the National annual calendar, Wimborne always provides a wonderful, varied, folk dance spectacular in which it is our privilege to contribute. Hope to see some of you, if not all, there.

HOLT FEST 2024, HOLT SCHOOL

This Thursday, you aficionados can catch us in this picture postcard Wiltshire village, some say the most beautiful in the country, at what is now becoming one of our annual meet-ups with our long-standing friends, “Hips and Haws.”

The weather is going to be superb, so join us for a bevvy and a dance spectacle if you will.

-

During the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday, we shall be enjoying ourselves, along with hundreds of others at this intimate festival, curated and organised by the lovely Nick Reed and his helpers.

We have been regular performers at this, the small-scale successor to “The Village Pump” and at the Pump itself for countless years, and this year is no exception.

So if you are there, catch us drawing the crowds with a number of “spots” throughout the site.

THE BELL, LACOCK

Somebody told us that the ales at The Bell, halfway up Bowden Hill are worthy of note.

Note them I’m sure we will, alongside some spirited dance performances, provided the rigours of Trowbridge Festival last weekend haven’t depleted our energy stores.

Sample the experience with us if you so desire, from 7.30 onwards!

Join us from 7:30pm onwards at this popular pub as we join up for a convivial evening of dance and music with Devizes Morris.
